Set in a relaxed, welcoming environment and led by experienced instructors, this session is designed to be engaging for beginners while still rewarding for those with some outdoor experience.

Bushcraft is one of the world’s oldest skills, rooted in patience, technique, and an understanding of nature rather than sheer strength. From the moment you step into the woodland, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of fire lighting and shelter building in a calm, supportive way. Whether you’re building your first survival shelter or learning traditional fire-making techniques, the experience is all about discovering, improving, and enjoying every step of the process.

This experience is suitable for a wide range of guests taking part in the Swinton Rangers programme, with a few important guidelines:

• Minimum age: 7 years old

• Adults are classed as 16+

• All participants under 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian
